Privacy Notice for Digital Interview and Cognitive Assessment Tools Abtin Consulting Group
This notice explains how Abtin Consulting Group (“we” or “the Company”) collects, processes, and retains personal data of job applicants when using digital interview tools, technical assessments (CodeVue), and cognitive evaluations.
This notice supplements the Abtin Consulting Group General Privacy Policy and, in case of any conflict, this notice takes precedence for recruitment processes.
We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran and international standards, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), applying principles of transparency, accountability, and security.
Data Controller
The Company handling your recruitment process is the data controller responsible for processing your data.
If international platforms are used (e.g., HireVue or similar tools), the service provider may act as a data processor, and the data will only be used for recruitment purposes.
All parties involved are required to sign data protection agreements in accordance with Article
Personal Data Processed
Data that may be collected during the recruitment process includes:
- Name, surname, and contact details (email, phone)
- Images, video, and voice recordings from digital interviews
- Results of technical or cognitive assessments such as CodeVue
- Employment and educational history
- IP address, browser, and device information
- Analytical data derived from automated or AI-based assessments
Abtin does not request sensitive data (e.g., religious, political, or sexual orientation) directly. Any such data received unintentionally will be immediately deleted or anonymized.
Legal Basis for Processing
Data processing is based on one of the following:
- Explicit consent of the applicant to submit videos, tests, or recruitment data
- Contractual or legal obligation to assess qualifications and maintain recruitment records
- Legitimate interests of the organization for effective management of recruitment and selection
Applicants may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
Data Transfer and Access
Your data may be transferred to members of Abtin Consulting Group, assessment contractors, or IT service providers for recruitment purposes.
For international data transfers, the Company ensures protection in accordance with international standards (GDPR Article 47 and BCR) and Iranian personal data regulations.
A list of partner companies or data processors can be provided upon request.
Data Retention
Your data will only be retained as long as necessary for recruitment purposes.
Typically, video recordings and test results are kept for up to 3 years after the last user activity unless national laws or legal obligations require a longer period.
Data Security
Abtin implements technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure of data.
Access is limited to authorized personnel (recruitment managers, HR specialists, or system administrators), and all access is logged and monitored.
Applicant Rights
Individuals whose data is processed have the following rights under Iranian law and international regulations:
- Access their personal data
- Correct or delete inaccurate data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Receive a portable copy of their data
- Withdraw consent at any time
